This actually began way back over 15 + years ago when the ministry was first birthed*. We used to prepare hot meals and bring them to the river bottom in the town where we live, and feed over 25 people each and every week. Eventually, we were prohibited by the police to continue this, so our church ministry was started with the vow that some day we would return to this type of ministry.  During my last trip to India the Lord spoke to me about feeding the homeless again, something that unknown to me at the time, God had also placed the same thing in the heart of my wife, at home. (My wife pastors this outreach, while I do the church here and oversee our ministry overseas.)

When I returned, we began to prepare to do this again and as of now have been doing this every other week. We bring our church body with us, pack food and clothes in our van, and go downtown where a majorioty of the homeless live in the street. We minister to them, pray for the sick, lead some to Christ, and pass our food and clothes. My wife and I firmly believe that this is the heart and the compassion of God. Too often, we sit in our big and beautiful buildings and sing and praise God but we do nothing to help those who have less than we do. God loves them just as much as He does us, and as the children of God, we have an obligation to help them as well. So that is exactly what we have been doing now for over 5 months, every other week.

We take our church to the streets and bring help, hope, the love of Christ, and prayer to the streets where it was meant to be all along! We are seeking a building to put a mission where we can dedicate not just food and clothes but have a system of job referrals and build a community willing to help these people. They are just like us, they just are in more need than are we. We that are blessed need to help them!

* The desire came from my wife who herself had been homeless and a drug addict for over 9 years. She was gloriously saved, and delivered instantly from heroin and alcohol and has this burning desire to rescue others in the same manner.
